Control

  • CMD-2627: Added a new option to the Batch Printing screen of the Controls section for "Print Blank Superbill" which has the same filter options and produces the same report as the "Blank Superbill" report available in v8.4.1 and prior.

  • IE-19: Added the ability to open a patient record within multiple sections at the same time without having to first close the patient in the Patient section.  The following limitations apply:
    a) If a patient is opened in the Patient section, users can create and modify appointments for the same patient but will not be allowed to update the demographic information in the Scheduler section (the fields will be disabled).
    b) The same patient cannot be opened in more then one payment screen at the same time.
    c) If a patient is opened in the claim section, the same patient cannot be opened within Line Item Posting or EOB Posting.
  • IE-158/350: Implemented "save changes" reminders throughout the application.  When any change is made to an open record, a warning will be displayed to the user when they attempt to close the record asking if they want to Save, Continue without Saving or Cancel.  The fields changed on the record will be highlighted with a yellow border.
  • IE-335: Added the ability for an Admin to create "Roles" within their account.  Permission levels are setup for a Role and the role can be applied to one or more users.  Users assigned to a Role are granted all permission levels associated with the Role.  Future changes to the Role's permissions will be automatically passed down to any users associated with the Role.

  • IE-406: Added a red asterisks ( * ) throughout the application for all required fields which are needed to create the corresponding record.
  • IE-444: Implemented recently opened records throughout the application.  In each section, a listing of the most recently accessed by the user will by displayed for reference and easy access.  In the claim and patient section, this list will show the last 10 records.  All other sections will show the last 5 records accessed.
  • IE-479: Implemented a new simple search feature throughout the application.  This new search field will allow users to type in the name or identifier associated with the record, view a dynamically refreshing list of matching results, and select a record to open it.  Coupled with the Recently Opened Records list will allow users quick and easy access to records without using the "Find" (now called "Show All") feature.
  • IE-486: Add the ability to create "calculated" columns within CBI Reporting.  A calculated column is one that is derived from mathematical expression (addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division) of two other columns on the report.  Calculated columns can be added to reports via the Report Builder and will show (with the appropriate calculated values) when the report is run via the Report Viewer.
  • IE-492: Removed the "Active Date Range" from the scheduler.  Now, any day/week that you select to view will automatically load and display any appointments.

Reports

  • CBI-1: Tabs for previously run reports now have a right click menu which allows the user to "Close All" opened report tabs.  Users can still individually close a report tab by selecting the 'X' for each tab.
  • CBI-2: Saving a parameter set (filters) for a specific report now requires that the user input a name for the parameter set.
  • CBI-27: Corrected an issue in which the payers listed in the Payer filter window for all reports were using the name listed within the CollaborateMD Master Payer List, not the name used within the actual customer account.
  • Add the ability to create "calculated" columns within CBI Reporting.  A calculated column is one that is derived from mathematical expression (addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division) of two other columns on the report.  Calculated columns can be added to reports via the Report Builder and will show (with the appropriate calculated values) when the report is run via the Report Viewer.
  • CMD-3197: Added functionality to the Report Builder that will allow users to create calculated columns as percentages.

Scheduler

  • CMD-2487: Added a warning to the application when the user is attempting to print a batch superbill form which causes an out of memory exception (i.e. user needs to refine their search criteria and print less forms within the batch).
  • Added capability to move multiple appointments on the calendar at the same time by holding the SHIFT key, clicking on the appointments, and then dragging to the desired time/day.
  • Removed the "Active Date Range" from the scheduler.  Now, any day/week that you select to view will automatically load and display any appointments.

System

  • CBI-30: Made enhancements to the CBI Dashboard functionality located within the System section of the application. For more information, please view the CBI Dashboard Training Material located on the 9.0 New Release Page.
  • CMD-2361: Clicking links within the CollaborateMD Blog window will launch in a separate browser window.
  • CMD-3188: In the Login screen, when clicking the About button you will find links to the latest EULA (End User License Agreement), CSA (Customer Software Agreement), and HIPAA Business Associate Agreements.
  • CMD-3299: Removed the unread clearinghouse reports warning message that users would see when logging in and switching accounts.

UI Enhancements

  • Enhanced column sorting has been added throughout the application. This includes sections that have sortable tables such as, Recently Opened panels, Scheduler/Appointment search results, Document section, Eligibility tab (Provider section), Provider ID tab (Payer section), Show All windows, Insurance Tracking tab (Patient section), CPT & Contracts tab (Codes section), and Transaction Maintenance (Payment section). This feature allows you to sort by more than one column when you have data that you want to group by the same value in one column and then sort by another column within that group of equal values.
    • In all tables with interactive columns, clicking the column header once will sort the result set in ascendingorder of the data in the column selected. An up arrow is then displayed in the column header to indicate the applied sorting.
    •  Clicking the same column header a second time will sort the result set in descending order of the data in the column selected. A down arrow is then displayed in the column header to indicate the applied sorting.
    •  Clicking the column header a third time will remove all sorting and return the ordering of the result set to how it was originally displayed.
    • Tip: Holding the CNTRL key and selecting multiple column headers will apply primary, secondary, tertiary, and more sorting levels.  A numeric value (i.e. 1, 2, 3, etc) will be displayed in the column header to indicate the sorting priority currently applied.
  • Where applicable, sections now include a list of recently opened records for fast access.  In the event that there are less than 5 items in that particular section (for example, Practice), the recently opened list will display all records for the customer account.
  • Where applicable, sections now contain a search bar that users can use in place of the traditional "Find" action.  The search bar allows the user to enter alpha-numeric text and dynamically displays the records within the section that match.  The single search bar finds matches based on all searchable fields.  For example, typing "John" in the Provider search bar could return a provider with first name "John" and last name "Johnson".  All sections except patient and claim contain a Show All button which will launch the traditional Find window.    The claim and patient sections contain an Advanced Search button which launch the tradition patient/claim search window.
  • In all sections, the application will display a warning to the user when attempting to close the opened record after changes had been made.  Users will have the option to Save, Close Without Saving, and Cancel.  Fields that have been changed are highlighted with a yellow border.
  • In all sections, fields that are required to be filled in for the record to save (for example, name in the provider section) are marked with a red * indicator.
  • Fields throughout the application now include right click capabilities allows the user to Cut, Copy, Paste, Undo and Redo changes.
  • The same patient can now be opened in the Patient, Scheduler, Claim and Payment sections.
