CMD2GO - Scheduler

CMD2GO is a secure web application where authorized users can conveniently create patients, manage their schedules and communicate via secure messaging when they are on the go.


You will be able to access CMD2GO anywhere, anytime, on a mobile device (smartphone or tablet) or computer using a supported web browser.


These key features can be used without needing access to the full CollaborateMD application, which means you can check and update your schedule, send/receive secure messages with other users in your office from anywhere.


On mobile devices, you can easily switch between customer accounts to manage appointments and blocks scheduled for a specific resource/department. CMD2GO includes features such as creating and modifying appointments and appointment blocks making it convenient for you to manage your appointment scheduler on the go. Manage your appointments and messages anytime, anywhere, and on any device.

The following help pages are supported by the current version and mobile view of CMD2GO. Please follow the curriculum outline to receive the proper training associated with this section.





The Scheduler section of CMD2GO allows you to manage appointments for more than one customer, department, or resource from a Daily Scheduler view. CMD2GO Scheduler automatically syncs with your CMD scheduler. The appointment scheduler uses the same color and icon scheme defined in CollaborateMD.

From the Scheduler view, authorized users can: 

  • Create appointments for existing patients. 
  • Modify appointment details such as the appointment date, time, frequency, and status. 
  • Create and modify appointment blocks such as meetings, lunches, vacations, etc. 
  • Create and manage patient demographics such as Contact Info, Notes, Alerts, Insurance, as well as view the patient's Appointment History.

Please note users must have the following permissions in order to perform any of the actions outlined below:

Scheduler Overview

  1. Settings: Select the  icon to configure your personal default appointment settings such as your appointment time slot view, the start and end time of the appointment view, and enable features such as allowing appointments to be overbooked, and booking appointments during unavailable times. Please note features such as hiding unavailable resources and showing a separate legend for times for each resource do not apply to the mobile view and these settings only apply to the customer you’re currently logged into.

  2. Filters: Select the icon to constrain the view of the appointments and blocks. Select the filters you want to see/deselect the filters you DO NOT want to see. For example, if you don't want to see appointments that have been canceled, expand the Status filter and select all of the appointment statuses you wish to see with the exception of Canceled. You can filter your calendar view by resource, practice, provider, office, facility, appointment type, and status.  


    When logging into CMD2GO for the first time, the filters selected within the CollaborateMD application will carry over, however, changes made in CMD2GO after you’ve logged in will be stored separately from your CollaborateMD application selections and will be used going forward.

  3. Calendar Widget: Select the Calendar widget to view the schedule for a particular date. To go to a specific month or year, simply use the previous “<” and next “>” icons or select the Month and Year to expand your selections.

  4. Navigation Menu: Select this icon to navigate to features such as the Scheduler, Messaging, Help, Feedback, Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, End User License Agreement, Switch Customers, Change Password, and Logout.

  5. New: Select this icon to perform actions such as creating a new appointment, appointment block, and a new patient.

  6. Resource / Department View: Click on this drop-down menu to view appointments for a specific Department or Resource.

  7. Daily Calendar View: The appointment view displays the names of patients who have an appointment for the selected date, department, and resource. Note: Mobile devices only display one department and resource at a time.

Schedule a New Appointment

Appointments can only be scheduled for existing patients. If the patient doesn’t exist, see Create a New Patient for instructions on how to create a patient. Once the patient is created, you can then schedule the appointment.

To schedule an appointment with an existing patient:

  1. Click on the Scheduler icon.

  2. Select the icon and then select New Appointment.

  1. When the window opens, click Select a patient.

  1. Next, enter the patient's name and then click Search.

  2. Select the patient's name and click Done.

  1. Enter the appointment details such as the date & time, appointment type, resource, office, facility, frequency, chief complaint and any comments.

  1. Once you have filled out all of the appointment details, click Save.

Modify an Existing Appointment

In the event, you need to delete an appointment or make changes to the appointment date, time, type, length, office, facility, status frequency, chief complaint, and comment.

  1. First, locate the appointment in the Scheduler section, using the Calendar widget.

  1. Once the appointments are displayed, click on the appointment you wish to edit.

  1. When the appointment opens, select Edit to make your changes

  2. When you’re done, click Save.

Add Appointment Block

Creating an appointment block allows you to block out a length of time on your calendar, preventing staff from scheduling appointments within that timeframe. Appointment Blocks can also be used to block out time for office closures, prep time, meetings, vacations, sick leave, etc. Please note appointments can be created if the Allow appt. to overbook option is enabled within the configuration Settings.

Note: Prior to creating the block, please create an appointment Type within CollaborateMD that describes what the block is. For example, "LUNCH" or "MEETING". Once the Type is created, follow the instructions below to create the appointment block:

To create an appointment block.

  1. Click on the navigation menu icon and select Scheduler.

  2. Click the Add button and select Add Block.

  3. Enter the appointment block details.

  4. When you’re done, click Save.

Cancel or Delete Appointment

You can easily delete an appointment if it was created in error or you can cancel the appointment if its no longer needed.

  1. Using the Calendar widget, select the date the appointment is scheduled for.

  2. If applicable, click on the drop-down menu to find the Resource/Department the appointment is scheduled under.

  3. Select the appointment and click Edit.

  4. Select Status > Deleted.

  5. When you’re satisfied with your changes, click Done.
